The stills below were developed in order to assess how to make the stills cheaper looking for local materials. in 2014 the focus was to test the water production.

For 2015, a new M.Sc. Student from Oslo, Norway Halvard Kopperdal ,joined NCA/ Norplan team to followed up last year work.

On this page photos of the different units are shown with some short comments about type and preliminary results.

Refined Design .Date: 10th May 2015
New design with plastic tray for prevent leakages, black painted glass above tray, insulation ( as can be seen) Back door for cleaning and emptying. Glass place sealed with silicone. Ready for testing.

2.1 GI 17° single sloped solar still: 1000 mm x 800 mm, bended GI sheet, inclination of 17°. . Output ranged from 2-2.3 l/m2
