Technology Testing

Why the tests?:
Under the project, the terms of reference ask the consultant to search for ways to find water solutions for people living in areas with saline groundwater. The consultant was also asked to do a conceptual design for water supply in three towns. For that purposed some technologies were selected for further testing for use in rural water supplies in Afghanistan

Technologies tested:
1) SOLAR STILLS for desalination
2) MEMBRANE FILTRATION TESTS AT MRRD
3) MEMBRANE FILTRATION: TESTS IN THE FILED
